Chapter 473: The Interview

“I have ten years of experience with high-profile families,” Ms. Albright said, smiling perfectly. She sat in the library, her resume crisp on the table. “I am certified in CPR, early childhood development, and I speak fluent French.”

William nodded, impressed. “And you understand the confidentiality requirements? The press is… aggressive.”

“Absolute discretion is my priority,” Ms. Albright assured him.

Leo was sitting in the corner, ostensibly reading a comic book. He looked up, his dark eyes fixing on the candidate.

“There is a six-month gap in your resume,” Leo said quietly. “Between the Rothschilds and the Embassy.”

Ms. Albright faltered slightly. “I… I took some personal time to travel.”

“No,” Leo corrected her, his tone devoid of emotion. “You were employed by the scandalous Duchess of York. You were let go because a photograph of the family’s private dinner leaked to the tabloids two days after you started.”

The room went dead silent. William looked at his son, stunned.

“How did you–” Ms. Albright began, flushing red.

“Discretion isn’t a priority for you,” Leo continued, turning a page of his comic. “It’s a liability. We don’t hire liabilities.”

Ms. Albright stood up abruptly, gathered her purse, and walked out.

William stared at Leo. It wasn’t just that Leo knew–it was the cold, surgical way he had dismantled her. It was terrifyingly effective.

“Leo,” William whispered. “How did you find that?”

“People leave trails, Dad,” Leo shrugged. “You just have to look.”
